Base Class: Monk (Unchained)

Backstory
Tomasi is a Sandpoint native, from a Chelaxian family. Boyhood friends with Wade and Gaven Deverin (mayor’s cousins). Tomasi brewed at Two Knight Brewery and enjoyed hiking and climbing and praying at the chapel, although felt no strong allegiance to any deity, just a strong call to the spiritual path.
Wade was killed in the “late unpleasantness”, which he now dryly calls the “karmic fruition”, and he considers his hesitation and lack of awareness to be contributing factors to Wade’s death. In search of meaning and wisdom, he started walking north.
He stumbled upon an unimpressive monastery just outside Brinewall and took up a room there. Welcoming a break from the weary road, he would spend his days working the garden and meditating with the abbott and 2 other monks there. Over time, his talks and meditations became deeper and more insightful and it was made clear that the abbott was an Irori Master living in exile.
The Irori Master, Ro Shi Che True, had been a top acolyte of the monastery of unfolding winds in Jalmeray. After a disagreement between he and his masters, rooted in his unprecedented acceleration through the training, and violation of the one student per master protocol, he had to leave the monastery and was forced to teach in exile.
Tomasi took up this training with utmost dedication, seeking unity of body and mind so that he was a pure expression of the present moment, and never again an accomplice to bringing harm to the innocent. He took precepts of austere diet and conduct in order to achieve new heights of his human gifts.
After years of training, Tomasi, now called “cho gysa ro pi le reya” (“tiger who drinks the ale” in Vudrani) or “chogs” for short, decided to return to his home town to serve and protect the rest of his family and community. He wants to brew beer at two knights brewery, help local law enforcement and pray to Irori at the cathedral which he helped build.
On returning from the monastery and passing through Ridgeport, Chogs encountered a merchant cart accompanied by mercenaries. He offered his fists in exchange for companions on the road, recognizing the obvious safety in numbers. On the journey back to Sandpoint, they were ambushed by Goblins. The party fought bravely, but only Chogs and a warhorse survived -- captured for their valor and strength during the battle. Chogs was already fasting, and now his strength wanes as he is tortured and starved further in the goblin camp. What he would do for an ale right now...
Side Piece Fluff
Chogs’ guilty pleasure is the drink called “whore’s breakfast” -- a mug of ale with a shot of rum and a slice of tomato. He is convinced it contains important dietary necessities not available through his strict diet, and cites a meditative encounter with Irori in which he was given a wink and a nod to “let go” of the precepts when it comes to fermented food and drink (in moderation).
Chogs knows Ulf’s Uncle and family as he was a regular at the brewery.
